What was the best movie you saw this year?

I'm probably forgetting some important ones, because I have a crappy memory, but I loved Enchanted and Juno. I saw both movies multiple times, and I love the soundtracks.

What's the best photo you took this year? Show and tell!

Looking at my Flickr account, I didn't take a lot of photos this year... Only work-related stuff. I really need to renew my Arboretum membership. Maybe I'll do that next week. Anyway, it's impossible for me to limit it to one, because there are a few I like a lot, so...

What's the best book you read this year?

Skinny Bitch was by far the best book I read... IT CHANGED MY LIFE! (Okay, I'm being a little dramatic, but it did!)

When I started watching what I ate and working out, my cousin recommended the book to me. After reading it, I stuck with a vegan diet for a couple of months... No poultry, fish, beef or dairy. It wasn't as bad as it sounds. There are TONS of yummy vegan dishes you can make or buy already prepared if you shop at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, etc.

I'm back to eating chicken and most dairy (no milk!), but the thought of red meat seriously disgusts me after reading this. MILK DISGUSTS ME LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE (but it always has).

It's not for everyone... There is a lot of swearing (I believe meateaters are referred to as "fat selfish whores"), and some people don't want to give up all that stuff. I was just looking for a way to jump start my weight loss, and it helped me! :)
