Okay, it's only Saturday night, but I did a few things yesterday and today.
Thursday night my mom and grandpa and I stayed at the Pechanga Casino for the night. I had Vegas reservations for the weekend, but... We ended up in Temecula. My mom has stayed in the hotel before, but I haven't... The rooms were really nice. I played some slots, but I was exhausted and ended up going to bed early. We headed home Friday afternoon.
Today I decided I needed to see Wicked, so I brought my mom along with me to play the lottery. My mom's pretty lucky -- Every time we play, she wins and I win, too! (For a total of four tickets!) Well, today was no exception... My name was called second and hers was called third. We gave the tickets to some of my Wicked friends, so we were able to sit together in the front row.
I hadn't been to Wicked since Eden's last performance on December 30, 2007, so I hadn't seen the new witch. I've been reading reviews on the internet, and everyone seems to be rooting for the standby! Anyway, I got to see Caissie Levy, and I LOVE HER. She's amazing -- Her singing and acting were awesome. Her Wizard and I was so sweet... She has such a beautiful voice. Defying Gravity is what blew me away though. I swear, every time I hear Defying Gravity (and I've heard it a lot of times live... trust me!), I think, "How can it get better than that?!" I couldn't imagine anyone performing it better than Eden... And then I saw Caissie, and I was so impressed! Megan was super hyper today... Loved that! Ohh, and it was my first time seeing JoAnne Worley as Madame Morrible. WHOA! I missed me some Carole :x
I bought this little 2008 Oz Charm at the Ozdust Boutique, and I'm excited to wear it! I need to find a chain, hehe. The chain on my Ruby/Devil Pendant broke yesterday, so my neck has been naked! (Excuse my chipped nail polish! :x)
Now I'm home bumming around with my kitty. So yeah, I had a great morning/afternoon, but I really wish this evening had been different... But it wasn't, and now I just have to deal with that :(
